Review
FreeFotoWorks is, as its name implies, a free photo and image editor. It has many basic functions intended for editing, enhancing and modifying your graphic files. Its intuitive, easy-to-use interface allows you to choose among many different tools in an easy way. You only need to click on the corresponding icon at the top of the window, or choose the option you want to use from the right-side menu. The program has many different interesting tools, such as morphing, auto-enhancing, rotation, cropping, clip art, and many more.
The main downside of the program is that almost each of those features is fully available only in the full, non-free version of the program. The only tools that you can use in the free version are rotate, flip, crop and several image effects, such as posterize, blur, mosaic, noise, movement, and some others. You can use all the other features, but you cannot save the resulting file. Thus, I think that it is deceitful to say that this is a free program, when in fact it is, at most, a demo version of the full software. Nevertheless, it is classified as freeware at the developer's site. If you want to test the features of FotoWorks XL, which is the complete version, then download FreeFotoWorks. If not, just don't bother. |
